How do you choose the right cosmetic dentist?
My name is Dr. Sunny Patel at Briarcliff Dental Group, and I wanted to go over how to do that process. A cosmetic dentist is typically one that focuses on making your smile yours. Cosmetic dentistry is sometimes one of the most important things that we do here in the office. Cosmetic dentistry has come under a really high time because everybody wants to smile. It's the first thing that you see about someone when you're meeting them or when you're even just saying hi to friends and family.
What makes a good cosmetic dentist?
A good cosmetic dentist is going to be one that's able to listen to what your goals are and how you see your smile. Another great thing about what makes a great cosmetic dentist is training. We all get trained on the basics in dental school, but cosmetic dentistry, and specifically veneer training, is very extensive and takes a lot of work after graduation and with many years of experience. The last thing that I would say that makes a great cosmetic dentist is being able to show you what your vision is. Your smile is what you want. And as a cosmetic dentist, it's my job to show you what your vision can be and tailor it specifically to you. Is something too short? Is something too small? Is something needing a color lift? All of those things sitting down at a consult are very important in making a great cosmetic dental appointment.
